Meet at Elgin Museum.

Join local historian Mary Byatt and archaeologist Claire Herbert for a guided walking tour exploring the architectural and archaeological treasures hidden “in plain sight” in Elgin’s historic town centre.

PLEASE NOTE: this walk covers a variety of terrain, over 2 km (1.2 miles), and a steep climb up Lady Hill. It may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

On the Urban Trail of the Trades in Elgin – a guided walking tour

Meet at Elgin Museum

Join local historian Morag MacDonald FSA Scot and follow the fascinating trail of the Incorporated Trades in Elgin to discover more about the life and times of the Trades’ illustrious past.
The Incorporated Trades were active in Elgin until 2014 and this walk will discuss the history of the Trades and what they meant to the town of Elgin.
Please note: The walk will cover around 2km (1.2 miles) throughout Elgin, and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.
