Art Exhibition: The Lonely Sea and The Sky – Julie Reynolds
1 High Street
The Lonely Sea and The Sky
Saturday 28th March to Saturday 9th May 2020
Elgin Museum, First Floor Gallery
Originally from Elgin, Julie Reynold first studied violin and piano at the Rsamd before taking classes with John Beagles at GSA.
She then modelled for and attended classes with Drummond Mayo, RSW which led to her doing a part time degree in Combined studies at ECA before starting teacher training at Ayr College.
Julie has exhibited at the RGI, Moray Arts Centre and Elgin Library and, in 2012, she was shortlisted for the BP portrait award.
Since moving back to the area eight years ago and living on the headland in Burghead, Julie’s work has been very much influenced by her proximity to the sea, trying to capture the various moods and colours. She paints mainly in oils.
Free exhibition, donations welcomed.
