In the interests of the well-being of our volunteers, visitors and staff, it is unfortunately not possible for us to open to visitors.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause, but we hope that you will continue to enjoy “visiting” Elgin Museum from home through our digital content which we plan to continue to develop throughout our closed period. We look forward to welcoming you all back to Elgin Museum soon.

New – Elgin Museum: In Conversation!

A new format for The Moray Society Winter Lecture programme, Elgin Museum: In Conversation sees us talking with Friends of Elgin Museum to gain insight on their life, career and connections with Moray and Elgin Museum. Visit our YouTube Channel to watch previous episodes and subscribe to receive notifications of upcoming episodes. Or if time is short, try our “7 Quick Questions” quickfire challenge videos. These short videos are a perfect “taster” to learn more about our guests – and ideal if you don’t have time to watch the full conversation. Our 7 simple questions require 7 quick answers – and you may be surprised by the results!

Although we remain closed to visitors, you can still enjoy a visit to the Museum “from home” with activities & quizzes on our Education and Outreach page, through our YouTube channel, the Museum Musings blog, via our social media feeds, and our online jigsaws. Find and follow us now! (or click on the logos below). If you’ve enjoyed our “Virtual Museum” please consider making a donation via our PayPal donations page to show your support.
