Elgin Museum – open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 28th May 2022, 11am – 3pm (last entry at 2.30pm) Entry is FREE, no booking required.
Things to know when visiting Elgin Museum in 2022 – staying safe during your visit: The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our highest priority. We have therefore retained some of the changes introduced to Elgin Museum last season, in response to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, and we ask for your cooperation to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time in the Museum.
- We strongly encourage all visitors to continue to wear face coverings unless exempt (disposable masks can be provided). Our team of Volunteers will continue to wear face coverings (unless exempt)
- Please be considerate of others as you move through the Museum and maintain respectful distancing throughout the building
- A one-way system remains in place in the building
- We have continued to operate an enhanced cleaning regime, and hand sanitisation points can be found throughout the Museum
- Please also note there are no on-site children’s activities, trails, puzzles, dress-up etc (but you will be able to pick up free activities as you exit the museum)

At Elgin Museum you can see objects from all over the world, with a special focus on Moray, and from all periods of history and prehistory – from before the dinosaurs to the present day. The Museum is located at the east end of Elgin High Street, Moray, in the North East of Scotland.
