Collage & Cyanotype Elgin’s Historic Buildings
Inspired by the work of Sir George Reid RSA in our collection, and our archive of photographs of historic buildings, we’ll create a series of collages using a variety of materials. If the sun is shining, we’ll also create a cyanotype prints (aka “sun printing”).
Known mainly for being a portrait painter, George Reid was also noted for his black and white (monochrome) works, using pen & ink and watercolours sketches.
This event is being run as part of the RSA200: Celebrating Together, a year of events celebrating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Scottish Academy.
Suitable for ages 18+
No previous drawing experience required
All materials will be provided
